She was born March 29th 1985, in Roswell New Mexico. Gerina Michel Mendoza is her birthname. Gerina Stevenson's parents include Mexican Alan Stevenson & Rita Stevenson. Stevenson is Mexican and American. From the time she was little she's been extremely interested in participating in sport. Gerina took up golf when she was 15 years old. Gerina graduated from Goddard High School. While in highschool, Gerina was the winner of the New Mexico golf state tournament. As well as volleyball, she competed on a state-level. 2003was the year she started studying in the University of Texas. As a senior, she won each tournament that was entered. In her time at college she was awarded the Conference USA Player of The Award and the UTEP Female Sports Athlete Award.
